How Eldric handles your data — the short answer: it stays on your device.

🔒 Eldric is a local-first application. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly configure connections to third-party AI services. We do not operate cloud services that process your data.
Eldric is developed and published by [core] Informationstechnologie, Jürgen Paulhart, based in Austria. We build local AI infrastructure software that runs entirely on your hardware.
The Eldric application — including the macOS App Store version and all standalone builds — does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
We have no analytics SDKs, no third-party tracking libraries, and no server-side data collection infrastructure for the application itself.
Eldric stores all application data locally on your Mac (or other device) in your user directory. This includes:
~/.config/eldric/ and are never transmitted to any serverYou have full control over this data. Deleting the Eldric configuration directory removes all stored data.
Eldric supports connections to third-party AI inference services such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Together AI, and others. When you choose to configure these:

The standalone version of Eldric (not the App Store version) includes optional distributed cluster functionality that requires a license. If you activate an enterprise license, the following limited communication occurs:

The Eldric website at eldric.ai is a static HTML site. It does not use cookies, does not run analytics scripts, and does not track visitors. No personal data is collected through the website.
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. Since we do not collect personal data through the Eldric application, there is nothing to share.
Eldric does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since Eldric does not collect personal information from any user, this applies by design.
All data remains on your local device under your operating system’s security controls. API keys stored in Eldric’s configuration are protected by your system’s file permissions. Enterprise license files use Ed25519 cryptographic signatures for integrity verification.
